For over two decades, Magnetic Island has been my home, and it was here that I founded and led the Stage Door Theatre as the executive chef and co-star for a memorable 15 years.

In the island’s vibrant arts scene, I became affectionately known as the “Fabulous Phill Stephens” — a playful moniker that stuck despite the slight tweak from my actual surname, Stephenson, for brevity’s sake in promotional materials.

With a rich tapestry of experience in entertainment, I’ve donned many hats: actor, singer, comedian, host, and emcee. My journey has taken me from grand concert stages to the heart of local festivals, engaging audiences of all sizes. Along the way, I’ve collaborated with industry icons like Jimmy Hannan, Mike Walsh, Jeanne Little, and Lorraine Desmond, to name a few. Now, I embrace the joys of semi-retirement.

Currently, I lend my talents on a selective basis, offering my services as a professional host, compere, emcee, entertainer, and comedian for both corporate and private events.

My love for Magnetic Island extends beyond its shores — I am deeply committed to preserving its unique flora and fauna. This passion has inspired me to launch Magnetic Island eCONFETTI (MI eCONFETTI), a boutique enterprise catering to the celebratory needs of weddings, engagements, vow renewals, and other special events with a focus on eco-conscious, biodegradable Australian products.

The confetti I create is a blend of dried leaves and flowers, handcrafted to celebrate without compromise — eco-friendly, biodegradable, non-staining, and sustainable.
